In perineal dialysis, the inside lining of your own belly acts as a natural filter. Perineal dialysis has several advantages over hemodialysis. It has fewer side effects than hemodialysis since it is done every day as opposed to hemodialysis, which is a relatively quick treatment done over short amount of time.
